Soldotna Library Friends
The purpose of the Soldotna Library Friends is to support the mission of the Joyce K. Carver Memorial Library through fundraising, advocacy and promotion. Our goal is to heighten awareness of Library services and facilities, to promote public support for the enhancement of Library resources, to develop supplemental funding for the Library and to provide, sponsor or support programs that further Library objectives.

Used Books and Art at the Library!
Nearly every month on the last Thursday the Friends host a used book and art sale in our basement bookstore. We have thousands of gently used books and some really beautiful art for sale at ridiculously low prices. Like our Facebook page or check "Upcoming Events" on this website to stay updated on the dates and times of the sales.
You can shop for used books anytime the library is open. The "For Sale Book Shelves" in the Library lobby are well stocked with a wonderful selection books for $1 each.
All of the books and art we sell are donated to us by generous members of the community. If you have books or art that you'd like to donate please feel free to contact us. We'd be happy to take them off your hands! Need a receipt for tax purposes? Just ask. Small donations can be left at the Circulation Desk, but if you have a large quantity of books contact Vicki Johnstonfreese at 907-262-6221 and she will arrange a time to meet you at the library. All donations are very much appreciated and all proceeds from the sales are used to fund many of the Library programs.
